Alpha Xi Delta

Gamma Upsilon at University of Georgia

Letter From Membership Vice President

Dear potential new member,

My name is Maddie McDonald and I am the current Membership Vice President for the Gamma Upsilon chapter of Alpha Xi Delta at the University of Georgia. I am so excited to be able to welcome you as you find your new home in the Greek community and friendships that will last a lifetime. More specifically, my Sisters and I will work hard to show you all that Alpha Xi Delta has to offer as a sisterhood and all we love and cherish about it.

My experience in Alpha Xi Delta has introduced me to some of the most amazing, strong, and encouraging women I have ever met. Every day they encourage me to be the best version of myself, and I do the same for them. They help me to “realize [my] potential” which is our motto. Finding your home in the Greek community is just that. It’s a place where you can truly be yourself and not only celebrate life’s highs but also know that there will always be someone there for you when you are experiencing a low. I am confident when I say that you will find a home with Alpha Xi Delta as I, and all those before me, have. The bond that Alpha Xi Delta shares is spread amongst many different colleges which makes it so special. Even in another state, I know that if I walked into the Alpha Xi Delta house, I would be welcomed with open arms and smiles.

Formal recruitment is coming soon and my Sisters and I have been working diligently to prepare for your arrival (or return) this upcoming fall. While formal recruitment can be a challenging experience, I urge you all to live in the moment and truly experience what each house has to offer and the girls that you will meet. We are so excited to meet you! If you have any questions about the formal recruitment process here at UGA, feel free to reach out to me.

TFJ always,
Maddie McDonald
